My Family's pharmaceutical company is passed down every generation to the oldest child of the family at 22 and her parents plan to keep that tradition alive. I never knew the burden of having to follow in the footsteps and take over. That luxury went to my older brother Ethan.Unfortunately, before he could take over the company, he was killed in action while he was stationed away in Afghanistan and now that burden falls onto my shoulders. I feel like I'm drowning in my grief over the loss of my brother and resentment towards my parents for not allowing me to grieve properly before making me step in. I'm supposed to fall in line and follow their every order and they don't care that I had my own dreams in aspirations. Eventually it all becomes too much and I snap and my solution was to run away from my problems. The one thing I didn't count on was running into a blast from the past. He fled our little town when my older brother died and before I could tell him how I felt about him. Maybe this is our second chance at finding each other. If Only Today Was yesterday is 20,000 word novella.
