Barbatos succumbs to corruption, not seeking help. The corruption eventually spiraled out of control, to the extent that he sealed Mondstadt, the whole of Mondstadt in, allowing no one in or out. He destroys multiple teleport waypoints, making it hard for the traveller to come in. The traveller has no choice but to call the other 3 archons for help.
