"You're mine," his deep voice cut through the silence. I didn't truly realize the extent of his strength, mentally and physically, until that moment. He had me pinned against the cold stone wall of the dungeon he'd just released me from. I could feel every ripple of his powerful muscles as I let myself become enveloped in the warmth of him. I was shaking uncontrollably. "I thought...," I couldn't finish. "Shh," he affectionately tucked a piece of my thick, long brown hair behind my ear and stiffened at the sight of an ugly bruise under my eye. A curse escaped his lips. "Come, we haven't much time."
