Yes, he redeemed himself and returned for the third season, but the lack of his presence was felt by fans everywhere throughout the entire second season of the show. So what would have happened if he had redeemed himself sooner and been there for the gang's life-changing journey throughout the second season? A Cassarian Story Varian always knew that he cared for Cassandra. But he didn't realize how much until she was gone. Six long years after Cassandra leaves Corona, she finally returns. Varian is overjoyed, but she comes bearing terrible news. A strange dome has encased the Dark Kingdom, trapping its residents within... including Varian's father, Quirin. Traveling with Cassandra, and her unusual accomplice Abhu, to the Dark Kingdom, Varian plans on investigating the dome and freeing his father.
