Dylan Sinclair has always lived in the glittering shadow of her affluent upbringing, where expectations weigh heavy on her heart. Loved by her wealthy parents, she feels oddly out of place in the world she inhabits, longing for something more than the polished facade of privilege. Amidst her inner turmoil, she finds comfort in the uncomplicated, down-to-earth presence of Harry Styles, a blue-collar dreamer with a gentle spirit. Their deepening friendship ignites stolen late-night adventures, moments filled with laughter, and a shared yearning for a different life. As summer dwindles and the easel of life shifts, the reality of impending change looms large. Dylan prepares to leave her small town and embrace the elite lifestyle her parents have scripted for her-one that feels utterly suffocating. The thought of leaving Harry behind gnaws at her soul, but societal pressures compel her to fulfill the role expected of her, vowing to escape any ties that hold her to a simpler, more genuine existence. Dylan grapples with a heart divided: the enticing allure of a prestigious college experience clashes with her undeniable connection to Harry and the raw authenticity he represents. As they navigate their separate paths, both must confront the truths of who they are and how much they are willing to sacrifice for love, aspirations, and the ever-elusive pursuit of happiness. Will Dylan choose freedom, leaving behind the life she knows, or embrace the risks of a real connection that could change everything?

"Why do you care?" he asks. But it's not soft. It's sharp, defensive, like he's already bracing for the answer. I want to tell him the truth. Because you saved me. Because you're the only one who makes me feel real. Because if you fall apart, I don't know what happens to the rest of us. Instead, I just say, "Maybe I want to understand." He scoffs, no humor in it. "You don't. Trust me." Silence stretches between us. Then he steps forward, close enough that I can see the way his hands won't stop shaking. "You already know too much," he says, voice low. "More than you ever should've." I don't look away. "Then tell me the rest." He shakes his head. "It's not your place. You don't get to ask." "But I am asking." He exhales sharply. "Jesus, Lily. This isn't a story with a clean ending. I'm not a mystery. I'm a goddamn warning sign. I'm dangerous." I flinch, but I don't move. And that pisses him off more. He takes a step back like he's going to leave, then pauses. His eyes flick to my jacket. In one quick motion, he reaches in and pulls out the burner phone. "I think this belongs to me," he says, tone sharp but quiet. No accusation. Just fact. I don't respond. Just watch as he slips it into his pocket, like closing a door I wasn't supposed to open. He looks at me for one long second, jaw clenched. "Go home," he says again, this time like a warning. And this time, I believe him. He crushes the cigarette under his boot, turns his back, and walks down the alley, leaving me standing in the dark. - Lily didn't ask to be assigned to him. Harry Styles is a name whispered like a warning, famous for his ink, infamous for everything else. Brooding. Untouchable. But Lily has a habit of looking too closely. And when she finds something she shouldn't, the line between curiosity and consequence begins to blur. He told her to stay away. She should've listened. - TW: emotional abuse, manipulation, drugs, sex, violence, trauma.

I didn't get the massive fuss on him in the beginning. But I guess I was in the right place at the right time and I am forever grateful for that moment.

"He doesn't see you the way I do. He doesn't see the broken girl inside, a soul that just wants to be loved, protected, needed. But I do. I see you because I've made it my every damn mission to." His eyes held mine with a piercing stare. My breath caught in the back of my throat. "And you know what? I'd do it again, and again, and again, until you realise just how fucking badly I need you." Avery Watkins hasn't always had it easy. Growing up with both parents struggling with addiction and trying to find her place in the world, she doesn't have much trust in others. So when Sonny, her current boyfriend comes along, he is positive, caring and everything she thinks she needs. That is until she comes head to head with Sonny's flatmate, Harrison Shaw. Harrison is a lot of things but positive isn't one of them. He is quiet, mysterious and equally as guarded as Avery. Not only that, he forces Avery to dance with the ghosts of her past whilst also uncovering his own. But Avery soon finds out that what she has needed all along is right under her nose, or more specifically, in the bedroom next door. And the wall between them may not be as thick as she believes.
