What if Jaqen had always been there for Arya? What if he quit the Faceless Men, then found his way to Winterfell as an employee of the Starks? How would that go? What would change? Well, these are the questions I attempt to answer in this new take (for me anyway) on Arya & Jaqen's story. This will start as a platonic relationship between the two, with Jaqen as Arya's sworn sword, employed by Ned to look after his youngest daughter. But it will lead to romance, in later chapters. This is a 'glimpses of time' kind of writing style that I want to play with a bit more deeply for this pairing and fandom. Chapters will be short and flash-fiction/drabble like.
