I wake up to the sound of him stomping down the stairs. Scared not knowing what's coming I sit up and hold my breath hoping he's not here to hurt me again. Ive already apologized to him many times. "Have you learned your lesson?" He questions. I don't answer hoping he's going to leave me alone, however that is not the case. He grips my hair and rips my head closer to him. "Have you learned your lesson?" He repeats "Yes!" I help in fear hoping that he doesn't hurt me anymore. Luckily for me he takes my answer and leaves it at that. He turns around and walks back up the stairs leaving me shaking in fear knowing this isn't the end.
