"I am in love with the woman who kneels down and lashes at my ankles, leaving bloody gashes at the bone. My husband and his life with his money and his job and his woman. His woman. She haunts me. His woman, my woman, his and mine. I revel in the lust of our shared desire, I am in love with the other woman." A woman trapped in a loveless marriage feels a deep desire towards her husband's mistress. Is she a victim of her husband's neglect, seeking solace in the arms of another? Or is there something deeper, more profound surfacing from its repression? The excruciating ecstasy of her pain, the disgust she feels towards herself and her own desires force readers to confront their view on life, love, and relationships.

There isn't love strung up on the walls like paintings here, it's dull and hard to find, and once you dig deep enough to find it, you see it was all fake gold anyways. We tumble together in some ugly abyss hoping to find God, hoping to never see each other again. The tragic push and pull of a relationship resembling the crashing of waves: a journey of hurt and love and memories and sorrow.
