Quirin has to find out what Varian did eventually. Varian also has to find out what Quirin did; who the brotherhood is, and why he's not a part of them anymore. The past, dreams, and reality, blend together more than some may think. (For all those who like Varian's canon redemption, but who are looking for some more could-be-canon angst.)

When Hector goes to Old Corona to visit Quirin, what he finds is not at all what he expects. Now he and a very injured Varian are on the run from the royal guards. For all he said he would never have a family outside of the Brotherhood, his mind is made up: no one is touching his nephew. But the past doesn't die easily, and shadows of days gone by threaten to tear the small family apart. They thought they were living 'Happily Ever After' - again - but the story of the Lost Princess has a way of continuing and this time, it's not just her story.
