What if an American attended the Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School? Jackson (Jack) White, is a 16-year-old boy from Queens, New York. With no mother in the picture and an abusive father, he had nothing much to look forward to in life. Until he met him. And was introduced to a game, that would change his life. The game of soccer gave him everything: a best friend, a reason to live, a reason to love. The two promised to become the best in the world together. But life is rarely that simple. His best friend was killed, and Jack went off the deep end. His grades plummeted, he could no longer play for any organized teams, and he only ever played soccer by himself, and got into fights with gang members and delinquents constantly. Though eventually, an incident caused him to become a shut-in. He developed a severe case of anxiety and depression. And as the world kept spinning around him, he wallowed. Until one day, he came across an ad. A school in Japan, of all places, was recruiting prospective foreign students. And with a rare spark of motivation, he enrolls in the Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School. (This is a rewrite of my original fanfic of the same name. Though, none of these races were graded. So today, will be his first Graded race. I wonder, will he be able to keep up this incredible momentum he's created?"
