Afterall Alastor never made it clear he wanted to stay. Annoyed and frustrated, but still in love with the king, Alastor got stronger. However 7 years later lucifer's daughter started a hotel. Why shouldn't Alastor get involved? Maybe he'll see his luci again. In this universe, Lilith left like normal but lucifer stayed in touch more with Charlie, so there closer and Charlie isn't afraid to ask for her fathers help.
