Harriet has always been the type of girl who would rather ride horses than stitch embroidery, practice her sword-fighting than practice her curtsies, and she'd rather dream about being the first female knight in all of history instead of a docile wife on some nobleman's arm. When a war between the allies of Ecrivenia and the kingdom of Carigan starts to brew, Harriet begins to wonder if it might just be her chance to become the knight she's always wished to be. Taking a chance, Harriet enlists in the King's Army, disguising herself as the red-headed, slight-figured, and quick-witted boy, Harry. However, when she is put under the charge of the handsome and strict King of Marenta, Leopold, she realizes her troubles are just beginning. Not only will she have to keep the other men from noticing she is a woman, but she will also have to put up with the scrutiny of King Leopold, the best friend of her brother-in-law. Throw in grueling training sessions, whispers of treason, and the enemy's secret weapon, Harriet suddenly finds herself thrust into the reality of being a knight in a war that might not be able to be won. ------ This is a sister novel to the first draft of Glass Slippers. Featured at Wattpad's Editor Picks list. Luna, an overworked Engineer, had an unfortunate end. Her spirit, feeling wronged, fights Death for a second chance in life. Death grants her the wish, but with a catch. She gets to live a new life in a new world. A world that came from a book she had been reading before. But the worst part..... she becomes Lucreatia, a side character bound to die miserable, at the hands of the hero. Luna vows to find a way to avoid her death and live peacefully her days, this time. Would she be able to do it? Or the story, already written cannot be changed? Find out! Act I: Finished (~41k words) Act II: Finished (~ 60k words) Act III: Starting ---------//‐---------- I would like to welcome everyone who came to read my story! Feedback, as long it is constructive and polite, is appreciated. This story is my first one on Wattpad and is being written on my phone during some free time. So forgive me for any mistake. In all, I hope you enjoy the story as much as I do writing it. The story will be told on a first-person basis. I feel Luna/Lucreatia would be a kick-ass girl 😁 The world would have magic and in terms of clothes and so on, close to the Victorian era. The story has strong language and talks about serious issues like death for example. At least a PG-13 type of story. You have been warned! In case mature content comes up I will warn up here and change the content rating. I may edit after publishing, though I always try to bring the finished product. Update date: Every Sunday Hopefully 😅 To be added to Royal Road (as well as Wattpad). "It's unlike any paranormal book I've read--very smart, very fresh, and very addictive, and very still in my mind." –And Anything Bookish In 1692, when witch trials gripped the community of Salem, Massachusetts, twenty-six children were accused as witches, exiled, and left for dead. Fourteen of them survived. The Survivors is the first installment of the tantalizing tales of the fourteen ill-fated Survivors and their descendants, who have been content in hiding for over three centuries. Isolated on a Montana mountainside, only Sadie, the rogue daughter, dares to abandon the family’s sacred hiding place. But no matter how far Sadie runs, something always pulls her back. On a muggy summer night in Tennessee, she witnesses a shocking scene that will change her life forever. It is the first in a sequence of events that will drag her from the human world she’s sought to belong to for over a century and send her back to her Puritanical family. Sadie is thrown toward an uncertain future filled with cunning witches, mysterious nosferatu shape-shifters, dangerous eretica and vieczy vampires, millennia-old mythology, and the search for her own mortality. After all… HOW DO YOU KILL A SURVIVOR? The Survivors will steal your heart and invade your mind. Fall into the pages of Sadie’s life, a world so frighteningly similar to your own, you’ll find yourself wanting to go to the Montana mountains to find the Survivors for yourself. And it is only the beginning.
