The Lan's are holding a week-long conference in the cloud recesses. Wei Wuxian intended to spend this week "getting along" with his brother who naturally was bound to attend. But as a result of his easily distracted nature as well as the unwillingness of his brother, things don't go according to plan. Despite them being in the home of the Lans there are multiple reports of thefts happening at the various participating sects. A mystery Wei Ying simply can not resist looking into. But as he does, something truly unexpected happens. Jiang Cheng, with a white headband wrapped around his wrist, announces his engagement in front of the entire cultivation world.

On indefinite hiatus. Sorry Wei Wuxian being back from the dead added yet another problem to Jiang Cheng's endless list of things he needs to take care of. Neither Lan Xichen nor Lan Jingyi was interested in finding out about his past, or who his parents might have been, they were happy as a family and that's all that matters. But due to tragic circumstances they might not be able to turn a blind eye to the past anymore. All the while the two cultivators have to deal with the outcome of their failed attempt at a relationship and the miscommunication that occurred. Because what they both truly want is to be together as a couple and a family, to raise the two boys together and be happy, and yet neither manages to get this information across. This is an interactive story, meaning you the readers will have a hand in choosing how this story progresses. New chapters are planned be released roughly once a week but this is subject to change as this is a new concept I'm trying out.

Summary: Lan Xichen's heart was moved by Jin Guangyao before, but in the end ended things between them because his uncle did not approve of them. Jin Guangyao later died with Nie Mingjue, and seeing that Lan Xichen seemed to have lost his soul, Lan Qiren reluctantly accepted the fact that Lan Xichen liked men so he arranged a marriage for Lan Xichen with Jiang Cheng, who similarly has no lover.
