A lot of strange things have been happening lately. Makoto Naegi has been waking up at the scenes of gruesome murders, covered in blood and with no memory of what happened and how he got there. At first he thinks someone is trying to frame him, but an even worse truth is soon revealed...

He stepped into the school thinking, "I'm gonna as great as them! I'm gonna graduate and show the world that even a ordinary and talentless person like me can graduate! And I'm gonna make tons of friends in the school! Those people who bullied me, I'm gonna show them that I, Makoto Naegi, can do it! Oh, how wrong he was. History always seemed to repeat itself. "Maybe they'll stop after awhile," he thought. It just got worse. Everyone had a limit, so did he. He was about to tip over that breaking point, when he met someone who treated him nicely, treated him fairly and treated him well. "Junko Enoshima isn't like those people.
