Or: Hawks realizes just how badly the foster system has failed Tokoyami, poor kid doesn't been know how to preen! Watch Hawks go even more mamma bird as he takes it upon himself to teach Tokoyami how to comfortably be a bird mutant in a society that otherwise shuns him.

Paratrepsis, also called a distraction display or injury feigning, is an anti-predator behavior used by mostly birds. This behavior involves the parent, usually a mother, feigning an injury, usually wing-related, and luring the predator away from the nest/young before either fleeing or attacking. Or: Tokoyami gets caught off guard on what should be a standard patrol. Cue protective Hawks and some new bird tactics he didn't know about.
