Astara, usually going by Asta, didn't grow up with much. Very little even by peasant standards. But, so did Yuno; they did grow up together after all. And Recca, and Nash, and later will Aruru, and Hollo once they get older. Father Orsi, and later Sister Lily, did amazing with what little they had for six children. Life growing up at the bottom of the food chain isn't ideal for anyone... but Asta wouldn't change it for anything. Not when it could mean she never met Yuno (rival, best friend, brother) and never come across the fact that while she didn't have any mana at all... She had something just as magical despite being magic's antithesis. Anti Magic. It was a struggle in itself growing up with the non magic... but she's on par with Yuno now. She will become the Wizard Queen, and yes. Wizard. Queen. That was the whole point of the title after all! And with Yuno, come hell (literally) or high water (figuratively), she will make this a world where her family (old and new) will never have to suffer again. If only she can get it through her thick skull that everyone she loves wishes that for her too. - Or, the story where Asta's a girl, was born with Anti Magic, and has Yuno as a best friend rival and brother with her through everything. - Literally only have seven episodes of knowledge, around 50 fics saved and read, and minor information from Fandom wiki as I make this now.
