Naomi and Claire first met in San Diego during high school, both attending the same concerts and hanging out in the punk scene. They started spending time together through mutual friends and have been best friends ever since. Claire has supported Naomi through every step of their journey, becoming their ride-or-die. Choosing to attend the same college felt like a natural progression of their friendship. Naomi decided to major in African American Studies, while Claire pursued a degree in Literature, dreaming of becoming a professor one day. During their first year of college, Naomi met two girls, Katie and Josette, and quickly became friends with them, especially developing a crush on Katie as they bonded over music. Naturally, Claire met them shortly afterward, and that simple encounter ended up changing her life forever.
