He drives the country side in his old beat up Toyota, doing farm and station work so he could earn enough money for fuel and food to stay alive. Never staying anywhere longer than a week, laying low and keeping his head down. That was his system. The man by his window stood up, adjusting his clothing as he walked towards the younger boy whose eyes were blown wide, heart beating a mile a minute. Derek inhaled deeply trying to determine what it was he could smell.
