From a young age Honna had been betrothed to the Fire Nation prince. She was taught etiquette and how to be a queen from the moment Zuko and her were betrothed at the young age of 5 years old. She was expected to be by Zuko's side all of her life so when Zuko was banished she went with him. Her honor depended on him, and although their relationship wasn't ideal in the beginning friendship blossoms along a long journey.

I remember meeting Prince Zuko very early in my life. He was different back then. For one, he had no scar on his face. But he was also still a sweet little boy. He was still that person somewhere on the inside, but the scar was a visual reminder of the changes he had undergone both physically and mentally. There was no doubt he was lost. But was I wasting my time by trying to help him find his way again? Maybe. But I didn't think so. ••• This story follows an original character Sora as she accompanies the Prince on his journey. Fair warning that there will be changes made to the story. I do not own ATLA or any of the character besides Sora. With her Dad having disappeared out at war 7 years ago, it's just been her, Gramps, and her mother, Sesi, ever since. And she loves them to bits but sometimes it terrifies her. She still remembers clear as day how it felt to almost lose them too. She's not going to risk it. So, one night, she packs her bags and heads to Agna Qel'a disguised as a boy to learn waterbending. Zuko met the slave girl Shira as a child but he never knew that she was also a bender... and a special one. Just as Zuko is making friends with the girl, she is banished because she defends the fire bending prince.
