When Wednesday visits Enid in her hometown over break she sees a whole new side to her friend. She's acting irrationally, can't seem to stop glaring at the nice-seeming girl from her wolf pack and keeps finding herself in... hairy situations. Wednesday can't understand why this is happening. Enid turned to her mother and declared courageously, "You can erase all the memories you want from me, but you cannot erase the love I have for Wednesday." Wednesday and Enid were friends at age seven and eight until their memories were wiped away. Years later, without remembering each other, they met at Nevermore Academy. During the new school year, Enid and Wednesday are introduced to new friends, love interests, and rivals. One thing their mind, guts, and hearts are fighting to do is rekindle the love they used to have for one another.
