Although this is classified as fanfiction, I'm not sure if this exactly counts as fanfiction since this story is based on a dream I had about Cliff Burton. I had six dreams about him, and this is the last one I had so far. And the most story-worthy.

Growing up as the daughter of a successful and ambitious engineer, you were always on the move with your parents. Just as things seemed like they were settling down for you and your family in Dallas, you're rudely uprooted after 5 years in what you called your hometown. Being a goal oriented 17 year old, you hated the idea of starting over fresh, especially in a place like Castro Valley California. What could a place like that offer a country girl like yourself other than heartache and a desperate want to go back home. All of that seemingly changes after your first day as a sophomore in Castro Valley High when you befriend an attractive, auburn haired senior named Clifford. Even if he was 2 grades ahead of you, you couldn't help but fall hard for him, literally. Of all the acquaintances and crushes you've had in your 17 years of life, none have ever made you feel the way Cliff does. You went from a homesick country girl, to a lovesick sophomore. This multi-part story follows the fiction of high school acquaintances, to high school sweethearts. A/N: this is a x reader story. Feel free to interchange the name of the reader to your liking. This book will be full of Fluff, some Angst, Angst With A Happy Ending, and even a little bit of Smut. Spoiler: Cliff will not be dying in this fiction. Will he be the one who gets her trust after so many years of her pain? The storyline is set in 1983. Linnary and her friends are all 16 years old. Cliff is 18 as well as Kirk, Lars and James. I dont own any of the characters in the story except for my own.
