Segundo o Google, a característica "nerd" se refere a uma pessoa muito dedicada aos estudos, que exerce atividades intelectuais muitas vezes inadequadas para sua idade. Na maioria das vezes o nerd esquece de atividades sociais prazerosas, como, se reunir com os amigos "para jogar conversa fora" entre outras atividades. Em casos menos frequentes, a palavra nerd é usada como gíria para descrever uma pessoa irritante, impopular ou fisicamente pouco atraente. Já a classificação de popular significa guardar um número de amigos que queiram estar perto de você, e isso não é tão difícil quanto parece. Popularidade tem a ver com a personalidade e se você tem a atitude de começar uma conversa e fazer com que a amizade se prolongue. Mas sabemos que não é bem assim na realidade. Essas 'características' são somente rótulos inventados pela sociedade hipócrita em que vivemos, para fazer você se encaixar em algum padrão ridículo que não faz sentido algum.
