Half vampire, half human Darius doesn't know home, but he does know just about everything else. On the run from his vampire mother's family, he and his parents have spent his whole life traveling the Lower 48, spending just a few months before hopping to the next place. Luckily, Dare's knack for all things academics has made it easy for him to keep his grades high even with such a long history in the school system. Warrent, Louisiana is no different-at least, it shouldn't have been any different. But after quarterback Rion takes a disliking to him, Dare's life spirals out of control. Caught up in the schemes of his mafia-affiliated uncle and a boy intent on giving him hell, Dare isn't sure he'll get out of Warrent whole. But there's something about Rion that provides an escape-and maybe that mysterious white wolf outside Dare's window has something to do with the spiteful jock. Completed 3/11/23 - 94k words
