I'm writing this for fun, and it's the first published wok I've done, so that's fun. The base of the story so far: Kai and his sister, Nya, are starting at a new boarding school and are living in dorms. Kai ends up bunking with Jay, Zane, and Cole. Most of the story will just be me writing fluff, and Kai just being a gay disaster. Hope you enjoy reading, and I will update it as I write more, so updates should be pretty fast :]

Kai Saunders was raised and trained by one of the hands of time, Krux, to become the ultimate weapon. Now that the foretold return of his brother has arrived, it's finally time to put that training to use. But a certain water ninja seems to have been distracting him. He swears he's seen her somewhere. This AU takes place during season 7 - The Hands of Time.

After Aspheera steals Kai's Fire he falls into a deep sleep. But what would happen if he wouldn't wake up for years? Where are his friends? How long was he asleep? And what happened to Ninjago? It's a wonderful day in Jamanakai city. Kai's plans for the day are to deliver a sword, get the loaded payment, buy necessities and potatoes to bake, go home, and take a rest. The last two have scratched off however, and it's all courtesy to this guy he comes across too; he's really tall, busting with muscles, owns a pretty pair of big eyes with green irises, and wears a damn charming smile. Everything goes upside down after that. Suddenly, before the gods could spare a blink, Kai is aboard a pirate ship with people he least expected to be with. Kai makes terrible plans, but this trip has got to be the worst yet as he literally fights for his life against one or two fellow mythical creatures. He's also fighting for his troubling heart, as the same guy who ruined his life never fails to skyrocket his heart rate through the sky, and churn his stomach like a towel being twisted into a rope. The first day they met was already stressful, let alone the following ones. Kai and Nya are transporting a magical artifact on a mission when something goes wrong and the artifact brings them to a world where there are others who can control the elements like them. Some stuff about how they control it is the same and others are different. Kai and Nya are now stuck in the new realm where in a terrible event they are separated. Kai somehow ends up with a prince scarred in more ways than one and needs a new hairstyle desperately along with a man he suspects is related to Wu. Nya ends up with a pacifist twelve year old, someone who can control water like her, and a boomerang guy who's more skilled than he gives himself credit for. How will they get home? How will they keep their identities secret? Will they be able to help their new friends learn peace is possible? And will Kai finally get proof Wu's related to the old man? Read to find out.
