From The Place Where It all Began and A Thousand Years Apart From You, brings the third story, Love Will Always Cause Pain. Following the defeat of Alice and Alisa, Nya and still recovering Jay plan their wedding. However, everything is quickly postponed when people mysteriously start to disappear. When Nya falls mysteriously ill, the remaining Ninja must travel to the Realm of Shadows where the last know cure would hopefully be found. However, with Nya down, and Jay still in too much pain to do much of anything, the Ninja are the weakest anyone has seen them. And when someone from Jay's mysterious past shows up after claiming to be dead when he was 6, the Ninja realize just how quickly Jay had not been speaking of the complete truth of his childhood. To this Realization, the team quickly falls apart and everyone is against each other. Jay decides that if he wants to save Nya, he will have to travel away from everything and everyone he once knew. On his journey to save all of Ninjago again, he will have to trust people he never knew, and a person who had previously made it their mission to kill him. In this place, he will quickly learn that he isn't just some Elemental Master. Love, Angst, and Boundaries will be tested in the final book for our series, Memories Cause Pain And Suffering from the Past.

Ever since Skybound Jay has always thought the letter he received after he made his first wish was fake, he had moved on from it and focused on other things. After defeating the Oni the ninja take a day off to relax but when receiving the mail Jay finds the letter he thought was fake and his world gets turned upside down yet again. Jay must discover the truth about his past, find out where he really comes from and face an old enemy with of course the help of his friends and family.
