Ponyboy seeks the help of his brothers, Sodapop and Darry, to cope with these feelings and gain the courage to tell Johnny that he likes him. Johnny seeks the help of Dallas Winston to do the same thing. Along the way, secrets are revealed, and the boys have to learn to accept themselves and finally be together.

My name's Ponyboy Curtis. I live with my brothers, soda and Darry. I'm just like any other greaser; I keep my hair nice and greasy. Accept, I'm different. I like my best friend, Johnny Cade.
