It starts when Rick and Daryl get trapped in a gas station. From there, it just goes down. Rickyl. (Rated M for graphic gore and some internalised homophobia)

Daryl's life isn't remotely close to what he wanted, so when the apocalypse hit, he felt free after his family died. He finally gave up in a forest, slitting his wrists, hoping he'd come back as one of "them". But when he wakes up, he spots a sheriff with a gun to his head.

Daryl Dixon is dealing with the recent death of his brother, Merle. He's on his way back to the apartment that he and his brother shared when he bumps into Rick Grimes, a police officer dealing with divorcement. The two seem to be what the other needed to help them get through the pain that comes with living life.

This story is the 2nd story of my Dark Sin series. Of how Rick falls for Daryl and how Rick becomes a stronger person than he ever was before. After the heartbreak of having to put Shane down and losing Lori. Rick never thought he would ever care for anyone ever again, but Daryl started to stick by Rick through all the hell he was going through and was always there for him through thick and thin and showed that his feelings for Rick were something stronger and deeper than friendship or like a brother. Soon Daryl realizes he wanted something more and promised that he would never leave Rick's side and would do anything for him and his kids. Rick starts to open his heart once again for Daryl and hopes he doesn't get hurt. Rick goes through many hardships and fights to find the path of being a stronger person for himself and others who need him.
