Y/N Robertson IV is the smartest guy in the room, and he hates every second of it. As the fourth in a line of legendary technical geniuses known as Mecha-Man, the weight of the "MK" legacy is a burden he's spent twenty-two years trying to outrun.
While his father, Y/N Robertson III, was busy saving the world with cold precision and high-tech armor, Y/N IV was busy dropping out of school, developing a taste for cheap bourbon, and perfecting a "brilliant but lazy" reputation as a photographer for the Daily Planet.
He's got an "Watch" on his wrist that can turn into a world-class suit of armor, but he'd rather use his tech to pirate movies than save the day. He's cynical, he's witty, and he's an absolute jerk to anyone who tries to get close-just ask Eve Teschmacher or the "Justice Gang" heroes who keep trying to recruit him.
But when a world-ending threat pushes Superman to the brink and his father's past finally catches up to the Robertson name, Y/N IV is forced to realize that you can only run from a legacy for so long before it crashes into your living room.
In a universe of gods and monsters, can a scrappy, self-destructive Everyman finally put his ego aside and answer the call? Or is he just another Robertson doomed to be a machine?
