Then Ned had given him the tip about some raid going down by the docks, and it was just his luck when it wasn't a police raid but one gang versus another. Then he had been spotted by James Rhodes, Tony Stark's right-hand man. That's why he's hanging from ropes in a room waiting to be interrogated by none other than Tony Stark himself. (Tony Stark in 40's as usual and Peter is 18 or 19) or Tony Stark is a mob boss who has set his sites on Peter Parker and isn't going to let the boy, that he now thinks of as his, go.

The Parkers owe a debt to mob boss Tony Stark. If they don't pay it back as agreed, 9-year-old Peter will end up in Tony's care - a dangerous genius. Will Peter be able to cope with his new reality? How will Tony find his way as a guardian? And most important: Will Peter still be himself? THIS IS NOT A STARKER!

Peter Parker's known for his entire life that things just don't work out for him. Not with an Uncle prone to violence and his apartment on the wrong side of run-down. He's made peace with that, used Spider-Man as an outlet for the hunger and bruises. But then Tony Stark shows up, dressed in an expensive suit and carrying an internship opportunity. Peter can balance that on top of everything. He can keep a secret, he knows he can. And keeping this from Tony Stark won't be much different. Won't it?

•COMPLETED• Just another wrong number fanfic, but hopefully unique! Peter Parker's life is ok, not the best, but ok. After ned mistells his number, peter starts talking to tony stark, and things go from there. Peter is 16 years old, has his homecoming suit, but starts off with no AI (for like, a third of a chapter), and tony is his idol. And you can probably think of what happens from there, but please stick with it as I hope/think it'll be different from normal ones. NOT a starker, btw. That's disgusting.
