A few months ago, she found out that her abductor was up for parole. The thought of him getting out and finding her makes her appreciate that she can spend time with Laurent. He helps her focus on other things. She attended the hearing with all the copies of the medical documentation of his crimes against her, statements from my doctors describing the extent of the damage he inflicted upon physically and mentally, then finished with an impassioned plea for him to not be released.
