I work at a bakery. This should be peaceful. It is not. Between customers with main character syndrome, coworkers who need therapy, and situations that escalate way too fast for minimum wage, I somehow survive every shift. This is a slice-of-life comedy about baked goods, bad decisions, and witnessing far too much bullshit at work. Updates when capitalism doesn't win. Authors note: if this flops, it didn't

🍀1st Place at the 2025 Four Leafed Clover Awards🍀 "What do I hunger for..." The existence of Shades are as old as history. Soul-eating entities with skin as black as ink and a presence as cold as ice. They don't have an end goal, their only purpose: To steal, kill, destroy and most of all, to Consume. One of these Shades meets Dawn, a shy, noble girl that's still coping the loss of her father, who died three years prior. In a last second decision, the Shade possesses her umbrella. All the while, making a vow, to not just watch over her as she enters a new school, but also to protect her from the rest of his species. --- What to expect: - A character focused story with a cast you'll grow to love. (Or absolutely hate) - Grim, dark moments, balanced out by comforting and cozy moments. - A story that takes place in a Medieval London-esque world that's expanded on as the story progresses.
