Sebastian trying to adjust to the Ivory household was a difficult task. The unsettling environment seemed to hold no logic or attachment to the world Sebastian knew so well. For a while he wondered if he was having a nightmare, or in some sense, dead and trapped in a place between heaven and hell (purgatory?). After a bit he decided it'd be more useful accepting this was real and focusing on escaping. Unfortunately, that wasn't a part of Randal's plans for him.
