The Living Works of the Black Rose Killer is a series of poems written about a serial killer who sends his victims a warning before taking their lives; this warning is in the form of a bouquet of roses. The bouquets contain both red and black roses, red for days and black for souls. After killing he places the black roses in each of his victim's chest wounds, where their hearts used to be.
