"God, You are so fucking insufferable." I say in frustration as we stand toe-to-toe in the narrow corridor. He takes a step closer, his tall frame looming over me. "Oh sweetheart, you have no idea just how insufferable I can be," he replies, his voice low and smooth as honey. The lack of space between us makes it hard to catch my breath. His rich, musky cologne overwhelms my senses. I'm trapped against the wall, his strong body just barely brushing against mine. The tension thrums like electricity. "Why must you always be so impossible?" I demand, yet I'm unable to pull my gaze away from his earthy brown eyes. Eyes that flick down to trace the contours of my mouth. "And why must you pretend you don't relish every impossible moment?" he counters knowingly. I open my mouth to retort, but the words die on my lips as he closes the scant distance between us.
