He does not chase dreams or the boys he sees in them, and he does not know warmth in his cold little world of scars and fear and broken bones. Edric is a Blight. Not a good Blight, he isn't what his parents want him to be. He's uncaring and mischievous and has a reputation for ruining things, as well as a knack for working his way into places he doesn't belong, like on peoples nerves, and in their hearts. Hunter was an ordinary student at Hexside. He wasn't noticed by many, which he was happy for as he wasn't used to attention. Though that changed when one of the twins had noticed him. At first he didn't like the other but eventually he had warmed up to him. But because of an event the middle Blight had encountered, they were now a 'thing' Hunter had only done it for money, but soon enough, he had found himself falling for the Blight. So basicly the same as the show but their are two seperate buildings fro high school and middle school, and Emporer Belos is Hunter's dad in this AU. hunter goes to school and is mentally and physically abused. Also bear with my terrible spelling im sorry.

After the golden guard has a small encounter with the Blight's son, he approaches his uncle with an idea that was completely unrelated to the encounter. He wants to infiltrate Hexside and gain more information about the human and the owl lady. And he will do it any way he can. Even if it means becoming friends with them. The only problem? She knows what he looks like. And he is smitten for the Blight boy. Classic high school. (set after episode 7 but it isn't that important.)

After Hunter and Edric first meet they both can't stop thinking about each other. Hunter is struggling with what's right and what's wrong with emotions. While Edric gains a huge crush on the Golden Guard, he is trying to realize his feelings for the new kid at Hexside, Hunter. But over time they will come to realize their true feelings for each other, and they won't be able to help falling in love with the other. This contains fluff, probably some angst, cute scenes, common cliches, funny moments, definitely cringe, and absolutely GAY. Enjoy :)

Fluff/Angst fic about Goldric. TW for mentions of child abuse and trauma, since this fic is about the two of them working through the issues of their childhood.
