there are dozens of ways for two people to fall in love. here, will and nico explore them. i'm currently editing this so that it's less terrible, but the first half of this was written when i was 14 and stupid. the concepts are poor, it's littered with typos, and it's probably triggering. sorry! trigger warnings: swearing, abuse, violence, maybe more.

"Do you even have a pulse?" Nico suppressed a flinch. Ironically enough, his heart started beating faster. "What's that supposed to mean?" "I guess you haven't looked in a mirror recently." His eyes narrowed at the blond, maybe after sneaking a glance at his ridiculously thin body in an even more ridiculous school uniform that hung off his bones. "Well, that's none of your business and-" Nico panicked for a moment as he searched his wrist, then tried following the teacher's instructions, until he felt the gentle thrum of life underneath his finger. "There! I d-have one." "Really?" Will grabbed his hand (okay, so it was less grabbing and more of a gentle grazing of his fingers against Nico's wrist) and oh. His eyes blew wide, and his heart pounded in his ears. Why did I let him do that? What do I do with my hand now? Can he feel how fast my heart is going? Future doctor Will Solace hummed, and gave his expert opinion, "checks out, I guess." ~ Or an AU where modern day America is a lot more like rural India and Nico di Angelo has to deal with the threat posed by unconventional, annoying-and cute-blond, Will Solace, to the forged sanctity of his life. Nico is an assassin who serves the Shade kingdom, a place of shadow-benders with the most skilled fighters. And when their paths cross, their lives will change forever. nico's a demon, will's an angel, and they fall in love during a war. what could possibly go wrong? intentional lowercase for the description; the actual fic has proper capitalization. the writing is pretty bad and the plot is all over the place but it's cutesy sometimes so knock yourselves out. if swearing bothers you, skip the author's notes because i swear sometimes. the actual fic has no strong language.

Nico di Angelo is a forensic pathologist, well, training to be one. He spends his days examining dead bodies and learning how they died. Pretty cool, right? Will Solace is training to be a nurse. His goal is to prevent as many bodies from needing to be examined as possible. He wanted to save people. When these two move in together, many adventures follow, because honestly, what else can you expect when two complete opposites try to coexist? As time goes on they learn that maybe they aren't so different after all. Characters belong to Rick Riordan, but the plot and all that belong to me. Also, none of the art belongs to me, I just find it on the interweb. I did make the cover, but again, images were not mine. I can't draw to save my life. (65,742 words)

Soulmates: the interest of our generation. We live and breath for them, walk and talk about them. It's so exciting finding yours- that moment when the blacks, whites and greys burst into color and you can see them for the first time in a real light. Of course, that part doesn't come until you fall in love with your soulmate. That's the part Nico has trouble with. His one soulmate was the only person who he rivaled against. And Will? He was falling for his competition.
