Zion is one of four Lewis kids living in a predominantly white neighborhood, attending a primarily white school. Since a young age, Zion has felt isolated from her fellow black brothers and sisters. Kids in the town over referred to her as an "Oreo." due to her uncanny ability to fit the white girl stereotypes. Zion never fit the status quote; she was unbothered by it publicly, but embarrassed behind closed doors.
