Rayne has a routine, a plan. He lives life according to this routine. A few times a week, his routine allows him a few hours to hide away in his diner. Everything is always the same in this diner, even the variances are consistent. That is, until the gray-haired manager hires a new waiter who moves about like a tornado. This boy does not know Rayne's "usual" or his proclivity to be left alone so he can watch and study the people living around him. This new waiter disrupts his routine in all the worst ways and Rayne can't help but hate him. He doesn't seem to care, however, continuing to disrupt Rayne and see Rayne and pop Rayne's bubble of safety, and ask Rayne questions that he doesn't want to answer. It was all quite aggravating really. •••••• He looked vaguely familiar, like an ancient statute carved from marble or a delicately crafted oil painting you can see only in the galleries in Europe. He was all but perfect, just one minor flaw over his eyebrow- a scar where hair refused to grow, leaving a pale gash to interrupt his dark eyebrow. I noticed, between all my studying of this strange man's face, that his lips were moving. I had no desire to hear what he was saying. I was content to just watch. The ways his lips parted and pressed together, his porcelain teeth teasing an appearance behind them. I watched him speak, not hearing a word, until he stopped, his lips curving up and open on one end in an aggravating smirk. I don't know why it aggravated me, but it did. I furrowed my brows and removed an earbud, moving my eyes back up to his. His eyes seemed to aggravate me too. They looked all too teasing, all too amused. 🎖️ #1- lgbtlove- Jul 20, 2026🥇 #1- yearn- Feb 18, 2026🥇 #1- love- Dec 18, 2025🥇 #1- slowburn- Dec 18, 2025🥇 #2- boyxboy- Dec 18, 2025🥈 #2- bxb- Dec 18, 2025🥈 #2- manxman- Dec 18, 2025🥈 #3- literature- Feb 14, 2026🥉 #10- lgbt- Dec 26, 2025

[Featured in FreetheLGBT: Diverse Literature reading list and Humor: Young. Dumb. Full of Fun list] Colin Mitchell, a photographer at a well-known store, Snapshot, is openly gay--mostly. His ideal experiences are sexcapades that are always subtle, never out of line and straight to the point. (Ironic, isn't it?) However, he meets Peter Chu: a snarky Chinese student with a loud mouth and more issues than Vogue. His intriguing persona has Colin enraptured and willing to throw away his CADBMBB- 'Clients Aren't Dated, But May Be Banged' principle--and take things further than they've ever gone with any guy. Circumstances push both their lives together, with Peter seeking to find his own path after a bad break up and a significant move. Colin is willing to walk that blazed trail with him--in more ways than one. But there is one problem... Peter is as straight as they come. [BxB] Aiden Rowe never asked for hockey. He doesn't like the cold, the crowds or the jocks. He'd much rather spend his time watching birds. But when he gets stuck covering the Port Howe Puffins for the school paper, his senior year suddenly revolves around freezing rinks, team dinners, deadlines and a sport he doesn't really understand. Somewhere between the chaos though, he finds someone who actually sees him and maybe hockey and Port Howe aren't the worst things after all. A soft, quirky and occasionally unhinged story about finding warmth (and love) in the unlikeliest of places. Content warning: lots of bird nerding Note: This is very much a queer romance with mature themes. Cover by @surrenderedstories

Simon Love is maybe a bit of a dick. He's smart, but he's lazy, and he doesn't know how to live without his mom's meatloaf and at least 4 different investment accounts. After graduating from college, he can't bring himself to leave the comfort of his hometown, so when the newest tech giant, TechNet, plants its HQ roots in his very own Baker, Ohio, Simon knows this must be fate. And when TechNet brings in a local architect to draw up plans to spruce up the building, Simon can't help but notice his construction crew. More specifically, the tall twenty-something wearing a canvas tool belt, a beat-up Sox hat, and a small, heart-stopping smile that has the entire office talking. And it seems like Simon is the only one who doesn't know why.

~WATTYS SHORTLIST 2025~ Hunter Dannings was a young CEO who had given up on love. But when he met River Conyers, a single dad and bar owner, his life began to change. Being around River gave him hope, and being around his daughter, Melodie, let Hunter imagine creating the family he's always wanted. But River doesn't let people in easily. And falling for him puts Hunter at risk for more heartbreak than he's ever known. ----- "Thanks for bringing me home." "It's no problem," Hunter shrugged, crossing his arms against the bitter Toronto cold. "You did the same for me." "Yeah," River started in, but paused, fingers tightening around the doorknob. "Maybe I should return the favor." In two large steps, River stepped in front of Hunter. His breath left his lips in small clouds as he stared determinedly at Hunter's mouth. Hunter's body was confused. After battling the oncoming winter chill for so long, it was strange to suddenly have River in front of him, warming his skin from proximity alone. Fingertips tinged pink by the cold reached up, grabbing Hunter's jacket and using the fabric to pull the taller man down. "You were gone for so long and never reached out," River croaked, fists tightening around the fabric of Hunter's coat. "Never sent me a text or gave me a call." "I'm sorry." "Are you?" River's whispered words warmed Hunter's lips, teasing him with the promise of more. "Then prove it." __________________________________ Highest Rankings: #1 mxm/malexmale/manxman #1 gayness/unlimitedpride #1 parent/singleparent #1 nosmut #3 gay #3 lgbtlove/lgbtlovestory #4 gaylove #5 fallinginlove #7 bxblove #16 wattpride #35 lgbt #64 bxb #96 boyxboy #99 single-parent #136 lgbtq #200 BL Date Started: 02/02/2024 Date Completed: 10/4/2024

Sometimes you need just one person to make all the difference in the world. And even better if you get a whole family of them. Zach's been living in his car for a month now. He has nowhere to go, no job and his money is starting to run out. Life has been rough on him, growing up in an abusive home and later in life becoming the center of a vile man's attention. Just as he thinks his life is never getting better, he meets the charming business owner Dean. Zach is a broken boy and has nothing to offer to a successful businessman who's so handsome he could be on a magazine cover. But life has a way of putting the right person in your path even if you didn't know you were on the one. This is a finished, full length (80k words), slow burn romance about learning to trust, falling in love and healing after life has beaten you down. !Trigger warning: This story deals with child neglect, child abuse, domestic violence and rape. I wasn't overly descriptive about these situations, but they are still a big part of the story. !Explicit sexual scene. Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. Liam Howard was a wreck. He had been for two years, ever since a knee injury ruined his soccer career, ruined his dreams, and made him a laughing stock of the community with a viral video of his worst moment. Now, he was still struggling to figure out who he was without the sport and where he'd go with his future when he couldn't be the star athlete anymore. In his junior year of college, Liam was confused about his future and about himself. Things were only made more confusing when he met his new roommate for the year. Banks, an aspiring tattoo artist and expert chicken wing connoisseur, piqued Liam's interest from day one. Which was weird, because he'd never thought about another guy so much, or looked at one as much as he looked at Banks. Junior year steamrolls forward as Liam tries to learn this new version of himself, who he is, who he loves, and how the hell he's going to get through the rest of the year in one piece.
