He intends to leave,-but the drunk stranger grabs his wrist and pulls him into bed. Chi could have easily escaped his hold. But that night, something is different. There's no resistance in him. Instead, he lets himself be held-and for the first time in years, he falls into a deep, dreamless sleep. By morning, the stranger is gone. No name. No trace. Just a cold space where warmth had briefly rested. Chi doesn't let go easily. He finds him. And when he does, there's no pretense. "Sleep with me," his voice quiet-nothing like the icy tone he uses with everyone else. "Name your price." Wu Suowei goes rigid "You think everything can be bought with money?!" He turns to leave, furious. But Chi's next words freeze him. "Two hundred thousand yuan." Wu Suowei's footsteps falter. The number hangs in the air like a loaded gun-impossible to ignore. He doesn't turn around. But he doesn't take another step, either.

This is a collection of my poetry. Each individual chapter is a standalone poem, and they aren't in any particular order. I'll add to it if I create any more, but they tend to be spontaneous so I don't have a schedule for updates. "Gates of Heaven" is the name of my favourite special limit hand in Mah Jongg, which I play regularly, hence the name is somewhat personal.
