The perspectives of a Creator or God can vary significantly across different religions and belief systems. Recently, I found inspiration in two books-one on perspective by a fellow writer and another on love letters. These readings sparked the idea of exploring how diverse the letters addressed to a deity would be in different religious contexts. This led me to embark on this project called "Bargaining with God," where I express my personal take on various religious perspectives through a series of letters. There are perspectives of a person who has never been religious but still has a belief.

After an abusive relationship, college sophomore Ava Winters begins a spree of vigilante killing against the men she deems evil at her university. You can't trust just anyone with a pretty face. Case in point: College sophomore Ava Winters doesn't look like your typical serial killer, but her body count is rising. Like too many other girls, Ava falls for brilliant, broken Ethan Parke, a fellow college student with a dark past. She believes she can help him, that she can change him. But instead, his emotional abuse and cruelty towards her unlock something inside of Ava, something dark. In a series of misguided, traumatic attempts to find love after Ethan, Ava finds herself heartbroken and taken advantage of time and time again. From this, Ava's darkness proves fatal: she drugs and murders three college boys, including her rapist. For Ava, the kills are just. She is merely holding the boys accountable and making sure they will never hurt anyone else again. But as the police begin to unravel the drug overdoses and their connection to Ava, she knows only one thing. Ethan Parke must finally die. It's the only way she'll be free of him forever.
