chatfic for BOTH the smiling critters and nightmare critters(I HAVE AN OBSESSION HELP ME-)

My potential pitch if a Smiling Critters movie (BASED OFF THE CARTOON) ever existed. I know this'll most likely never happen, this was written for entertainment purposes!

The nightmare critters were a group of feisty and messy critters but were all outcasted from society; until they met a similar group called the outcast critters, the only difference between them is that the outcast critters were poor and thieves. But they quickly realised that they were the same despite those differences and that both of them are more than just rumours and titles. The critters hang out and survived a flood while uncovering the mystery between eachother and a particular pigeon and doberman in the team, and there's a bit of romance (not heavy). Note: the nightmare and outcast critters don't have confirmed ages but they are in this story about early 20s (so this isn't weird), and also this doesn't take place in the actual lore (oblivious) this takes place in the cartoon (if they even have one?)

This was inspired by the smiling critters x mother figure reader stories, I thought it would be fitting to give the nightmare critters a father figure. And there will be some self improvement and mystery on the critters' part.

Since then, Cagney never liked anyone, not even their heroes Cuphead and Mugman. It wasn't until one day a familiar ghost came to visit them. And Cagney felt different, but will it last?
