They looked at each other, their expressions softening as they made a mutual agreement. They both weren't meant to be there, but so what? She wasn't going to tell on him, and he wasn't going to tell on her, so it was all okay. They could trust each other, at least a little bit. She hoped. Suddenly, he held out his hand in front of her and asked, "So, may I have this dance?" ♚♕♚ Brynleigh was just another part of the political game, and she was fine with that. The king was cruel. She knew that. So, if being a tool to the revolution meant that she could take him down and give her younger brother a better life, then that was what she was going to be. Her job seemed simple on the surface, even though she knew it wasn't. She just had to figure out how to infiltrate the castle and kill the king, totally a piece of cake. But what happens when she becomes a maid and meets the charming young tutor of the king's son and daughter. Cyrus Anders quickly caught her affections, causing detriment to her plans. But she decides that her smart mind and curiosity must be brought out for something other than her next steps in life when her brother tells her more than she could have ever imagined about when he was kidnapped for four years.
