( modern au ) asami thought she had made it so difficult to be loved, but she didn't want to be loved. in her eyes, love was something that only followed in heartbreak or disappointment, it seemed like nothing but a pothole. korra thought that was the stupidest thing she had ever heard.

(modern au) She fell for the one person in the entire world that she couldn't have. The one person in the entire world that she cherished the most and didn't even want to think about losing if her feelings were to ever overcome her common sense. It was a classic tale, really. She fell for her best friend. They were both ready to start the next chapter of their lives, fresh out of college, but one was still holding on to something that she couldn't let go. Her. She would be heading into yet another year of wanting someone who didn't want anything to do with her. At least, not in the way that she's longed for.

At first, they're just bestfriends. But their feelings became deep. It results to a love between a bender and a non-bender. But it's a mistake, they already have someone else they are supposed marry in the future. But will they continue their romantic relationship together or break their relationship and live happy with someone else?
