A brief dive into what life was like for Mephone5 before he was sent to terminate Mephone4 and 4S. And a not-so-brief dive into the life he could've had after, a dive exploring how he adjusts to living a normal life after being rebuilt years after Inanimate Insanity ended.

It started as an inconspicuous tickle at the back of his throat, to presenting unusual symptoms, to blossoming into something unavoidable. Mephone5 thought he had conquered all the confusion and challenges when it came to being brought back to life, but it seems there's one last trial in store for him. Robots aren't exactly great at recognizing feelings, especially in her case. She can't acknowledge a crush to save her life! Hopefully these buried feelings will be reciprocated by the phantom who ignited them. Or else it might just kill him. [This fic will contain potentially disturbing imagery of body horror and sickness, so be prepared. I'll add more specific warnings as chapters come out.]

Brain damage can drastically change a person. It can turn a kind, outgoing human being, into an rude, arrogant jerk. But can this happen to an artificial intelligence? Can a robot designed to be passive, get so damaged it develops violent tendencies? Mephone does his best to appease Cobs, but it seems his best is never enough. Everything he does brings nothing but disappointment. Usually the punishments for his mediocrity are relatively tame. But one day, in a drunk fit of rage, Cobs goes too far. And the result? Mephone finds himself battling overwhelming, violent desires he's never had before. Overtime they only become more and more irresistible. He struggles not to act on them, but he's only so strong.

With the looming threat now in the forefront, contestants are left wondering about where the host went off to. While MePhone4 himself, has to face truths he rather never learn about. These truths about the island.. about the company that built him.. and truths about him. Can MePhone4 learn to face his troublesome past? Learn to accept what has happened to him and what was taken away from him? Will he learn to grow.. or will the robotic host fall back into old habits..

MePhone talks to Cheesy for the first time in a while, and accidentally reawakens some feelings he thought were dead and buried. He doesn't want to feel this way, nor does he know why he does, but he's driving himself insane with overthinking. He should probably do something about this.
