Abby Grant, with a new decree in geology, is living the dream in the Middle East with her very own expedition, looking for evidence of oil. They had just started when they were joined by Bedouins, led by a mysterious, forceful presence known as Saqr al-Sahraa/Falcon of the Desert.
They were on a secret mission; their cover was a walking tour, and they were put on hold until the Bedouins moved on. Something they seemed reluctant to do, much to Abby's frustration, yet also fascinated by the man of the desert.
Saqr had just finished the tour of the desert after being away in a different country, where he had discovered people in his own country who shouldn't be there. To his people, he was known as the falcon of the desert, yet he was so much more than that.
Noway he was leaving until he knew what was going on right under his nose, without him knowing, which was unexceptable, especially a woman on her own with three men who weren't family.
Abby wanted them gone, but he wasn't going.
Toe to toe, they stood up against each other, and neither was going to back down.
Until the truth was revealed.
Abby's world imploded.
Out of the desert into a palace.
Her world was spinning out of control.
Out in the desert, she had purpose. Now a fish out of water, she was drowning.
Even if there was no oil, she did find something just as lucrative, if she was correct in her findings.
While Saqr/Tariq was more interested in finding the one who had been doing things behind his back, and why.
Working together, they planned to find out, while others had different plans.
As they got closer, their different worlds closed in.
Will they overcome it all, to be together or be pulled apart, when sacrifices are made for the greater good?
