He swiftly turned around, his eyes searching for such noise, and there it was-a door, beckoning him from the darkness. With trembling steps, he cautiously crossed the shadowy expanse, his every movement aching through his skeletal body. As he drew nearer to the door, the feeble light it emitted seemed to mock the surrounding darkness. With a mix of desperation and hope, he reached out, his bony hand trembling as it brushed against the door's surface. The cold metal handle felt like it was stinging his hand. But just as he mustered the strength to twist the handle, sinister snapping sounds shattered the stillness. The noises seemed to circle him, closing in, and panic gripped his chest. His realization-the door refused to yield to his desperate attempts. In his frantic attempts to escape the encroaching darkness, he suddenly stumbled and lost his footing. Without warning, he plummeted into a deep pit, swallowed by its unforgiving embrace. The darkness engulfed him.

We all make choices. He awoke with a start. Memories of his dream still fresh in his mind. He dreamt of the same man repeating the same phrase. It was unsettling. He wiped the sweat from his skull, releasing his tight grip on his chest. He could never quite remember the full detail of his dreams. Always the man's face was absent from his mind. Even now as he struggles to remember, the image slips from view. Only few details remain. The familiar phrase rang through his skull. This is a story about a mortal artist named Encre, a frustrated vampire named Fallacy, and the tale of how they met. There's conflict, romance, bloodshed and a mystery waiting to be solved. Leaving him and his two sons, Jasper and Victor, to live in a castle far beyond the city of Paris. Fallacy had been searching up and down, for the next to take the thrown of being his next queen. Searching constantly, searching throughout village after village. Searching over seas, and, further more. Until suddenly, he came across a mortal by the name of- Encre. A mortal, a French artist who worked for the king's court. King Asgore. Encre spoke fluent English, speaking French to those who spoke it. That was when Fallacy knew. That he, a mortal, was the one to be suited to be his lover. To be his next to be crowned queen. Fallacy could feel it. For he, could see it within Encre. Encre was terrified. Because, the rumors of Fallacy killing mortals along before in the past were spoken. Earning Fallacy to have to earn Encre's trust. For trust isn't gained, it's earned. Soon, slowly, Encre beings to fall in love with Fallacy.
