Going back home after school only to see a SUV heading towards me and waking up in another world? sounds like a cliche anime, oh wait it's real. "Ah damn it." Looking around in an alley way and slum that make think I'm in China and the tall buildings and neon lights flashing in the distance. "What am I going to do now?" .... [WARSHIP USER INTERFACE ACTIVATE} (This is my first time making a fanfic and my english is not my first language, so don't expect a well written fanfic and there could be some grammar mistake. There is a lack of new Arknights fanfics and I'm running out materials to read so might as do "Fine I'll do it myself." Combine with my motivation and my needs of reading good fanfic made me decided to make a arknights fanfic myself. I'm busy doing schoolwork so expect slow update and I try my best of continuing this story. There could be some mistake I made in the chapter and the lore in the arknights world so feel free to point it out as I'm trying to comprehend the lore in arknights {I SKIP READING THE LORE WHEN I STARTED THE GAME}. )

Beneath the classified depths of Area 51, a decades-long black project known as Project ARKSEK has achieved what was once thought impossible: the creation of a stable, functional gateway to another world. In the wake of this discovery, the United States mobilizes its most advanced and sophisticated military units and scientific minds to establish the first human presence beyond the Gate. However, this new world "Terra" is no uninhabited frontier. It is a planet shaped by its own complex histories, fractured societies and scarred by Catastrophe. Home to diverse nations built upon the foundation of Originium, an enigmatic mineral that fuel its entire civilizations but also spreads a deadly disease that has no cure, known as Oripathy. What begins as an exploration mission slowly becomes something far more complicated. Fraught with dangers unlike anything humanity has ever encountered before. As American forces attempt to understand and navigate this alien yet familiar landscape, they will be forced to confront questions of morality, control, diplomacy and weighing the cost of intervention. What they will find on the other side may change the future of both worlds. For better or for worse. Every discovery always has a cost. And some doors, once opened, cannot be closed. "Can you see any future from up here?" This is the first Arknights fan fiction I ever wrote, and the first time I ever drove into the fandom/lore of Arknights, so inaccuracies in some parts are to be expected. But I have tried to make it as accurate as possible (I still haven't fully played the game yet, just watching a playthrough, anime, and story recap) It might not be good, but I hope you reader, would like it.

It began when the USSR landed on the moon. The humiliation stings American psyche for years to come, yet it propelled the nation further yet into the stars as the Space race continued into the 80s, the cold war, it seemed, turned towards the stars. 30th of February 1975. At 0000 hours, the Earth seemed to light up as if it were day. Doctor James John Eden, an engineer at NASA, awoken to a divine revelation, a solar system appeared just outside of the Oort cloud. The third planet from it he named Eden, with the twin moons Terminus and Peregrine. He was later diagnosed with Schizophrenia. Dubbed the 'Horizon Event' and later named the Horizon system, the eyes of America and the Soviets turned towards the anomaly. A ruined orbital ring, an invisible barrier encapsulating the planet, and an event that defied natural physics. 1989 was the year the Cold War went Interstellar. Ad Astra, Per Aspera!
