I hear him shout my name and a couple seconds later I'm being pulled into a chest. "Evie." Ashton says almost breathlessly, as if he's in shock from seeing me. "Let go of me." I spit out, trying to keep the anger in front of the hurt. "I can't." He whispers. "Well you need to. I thought I made it clear last time, we are done." I say heatedly, anger and hurt crashing through me. Ashton closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, "I'm sorry," he whispers, "but I have to." Panic flirts through me, "Have to what?" Ashton leans down and puts his lips against my neck and starts kissing softly. Heat floods through me and chases away any panic, anger or hurt. I feel my body lean into his embrace and can't help but feel like I should never move from his arms. "I'm sorry." Ashton whispers against my neck. Before I can say anything, I feel his teeth against my neck.

Mabel Parker was an average teenage girl. Well, besides the fact that she is bullied everyday. Mabel loved her family, and her Best Friend, Kayla. She didn't have the perfect life, and everyday she doubted herself. But what happens when when Mabel falls into a mysterious cave? Mabel didn't expect to see a full grown fish tail where her legs should have been when she fell into the ice cold water. Being a mermaid is way different than a human. See what happens when Mabel suddenly finds love, discovers more of what evil lurks in the deep ocean, and maybe even discover a few powers.

When they thought they were finally safe, a berg appears and changes the lives of the Gladers completely. Unexpected events happen which makes the Gladers rethink everything which they knew. Has my life been a lie this whole time? Are they really dead? How many people will die just for me? How long can I survive like this? Should I give up or keep going? The Gladers will have to battle themselves and others around them to survive. Or will they? Stick around to find out.
