Healer Potter gets a new patient in his specialized ward at St. Mungo's. He can heal injuries that no one else can and it's clear from the start that this patient is broken. Injuries and abuse dating years. He knows that he can help him and he is surprised when he discovers Draco Malfoy is his patient for the next three months. Harry has to heal his injuries from an apparent suicide attempt, but soon he realizes that it's deeper than that. Draco is fresh out of Azkaban and Harry knows that the guards must have viciously tortured him, but Draco isn't talking. He's set up to stay in the Mental Health ward permanently if Harry doesn't heal him physically and mentally. At the same time, Harry isn't the righteous force of anger and courage that he once was. He quit the Aurors and suffers from extreme social anxiety, panic attacks and PTSD attacks, though it's not from war. Harry has to deal with his problems, too, but maybe not alone anymore. Trigger warning - there are discussions about sexual assaults, associated terminology and abuse. There are many panic attacks and some sleeping, eating and drinking disorders. This is a story of recovery from severe emotional distress.

Draco lost his home and the only society he knew after the war. He ended up living in the muggle world, making new friends and new connections and maybe some sort of peace. Even if that peace was usually found at the bottom of a bottle. It was enough for him. He was content to just exist. Then Harry Potter decided to ruin everything.

The Second Wizard War is over. Voldemort is dead, but the public wants revenge on his followers. Draco Malfoy is sentenced to life in Azkaban. After enduring months of torture, will Draco ever get out? The dementors are slowly eating him away. Will Harry Potter save him? And worse, will Draco ever recover?
