Ameri was best friends with Tsireya and when jake giving up his role as Toruk Makto to keep his family safe would now moving to living with the Metkayina clan. Ameri was like a daughter to Tonowori and Ronal but she was more to Aonung and everyone could see it. His plans were starting to fall apart when suddenly an Omatekaya family showed up and jealousy grew over Aonung when a boy had also set his eyes on the same girl that he had long before his arrival.

Marlene is half metkayina half omatekaya. her mum died when she was 2 and her dad decided to go back to the forest and raise her there where she met the sullies and they treated her like their own soon war started and her father died so the sullies told her to go back to her mums clan the reef and they will come and find her as soon as they could she soon had an instant connection with ronal and tsireya so ronal asked if she wanted to join tsireya in her tsahik training though aonung wasn't making things particularly easy for her oh what will she do with him
